Viljandi Hospital is the largest general hospital in Estonia. Our distinctive feature compared to other Estonian county hospitals is the provision of large-scale mental health support. We are on a steady course of innovation. In cooperation with family doctors, we are building an integrated hospital health centre in the centre of Viljandi, which will open in 2023. We are developing services that are unique in Estonia, such as compulsory treatment and inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for addicts. A collaborative project between person-centred healthcare and social work, PAIK, has been launched to provide patients with continuity of care and social support. We have set up our own training centre to further contribute to the development of our staff and provide training for health professionals across Estonia.
